April Showers Bring May Flowers

Believe it or not, this old saying ”April Showers Bring May Flowers” is not just a cliche, but it can be used as an example for how we will reap the benefits or desired results that God has promised us in His word. We must first allow patience to have her perfect Work in us.

It is said that if one can patiently and happily endure the clouds and dampness of April, they will be able to take in the beautiful sights and smells of the flowers in May.

We have been learning that “patience” is one of the keys to successfully holding our course therefore, if you will hold fast to the word and follow the process — just like after the April showers, May flowers are produced; so shall the promises that you are standing on in the Word produce (flowers) in your life.

Pastor Mike has decreed that we are in “Reward Season”; so, follow the process and receive the promised results!!

God’s Glamorous Girls 2012

This year we packed the Washington DC Convention Center with women that were looking for and expecting a transformation in their lives. This was our third God’s Glamorous Girls conference and like the previous conferences, lives were changed, but of course this year, we took things to a new level. The women experienced 3 days jammed packed with the Word. Our evening speakers were Dr. Michael Freeman, Evangelist Susie Owens and Bishop T.D. Jakes. During our day sessions we were ministered to by Wendy Treat, Donna Pisani, a panel of guests, and Dr. DeeDee Freeman. Our teens also had a guest panel and were ministered to by Brelyn Freeman and Erica Berry. Darin Atwater and the Soulful Symphony along with Vickie Winans, Vicki Yohe, Lauren Lyric and Canton Jones were our guest artists. Below are some images from all three days. We hope you enjoy them and we can’t wait to see you the next time God’s Glamorous Girls get together!

2012 SOFBI Graduation

Yesterday we held our 2012 graduation ceremony for the Spirit of Faith Bible Institute. 34 students graduated and took the next step toward fulfilling the assignment that God has for their lives.

Dr. DeeDee was a part of the original Ministers Internship Program before it officially became SOFBI years ago. Because there was not a graduation ceremony during M.I.P., she didn’t receive the actual certificate / diploma. She was honored with her diploma during this years’ graduation.

Tamika’s mother could not be present because she was in the hospital recovering. We surprised her by Skyping her mother into the ceremony so that she could watch the entire graduation including seeing her daughter walk across the stage.

OMG!!!! I had the blessed and God-adorned opportunity to attend GGG on Friday (7/13). Earlier that wk, I had just uttered (to myself) that I didn’t want to go to any venues where there was loud music or drinking–I wanted a nice and calm wknd. My great-niece arrived from Connecticut and one of her friends had backed out and she had a free ticket and if I wanted to attend. I screamed “yes and thank you so much for considering me.” It was detined for me to be there because Bishop Jakes spoke something to and within me. I’ve been playing tug-of-war of how I will market myself when I retire. I’ve also been sitting on a gift/talent of writing, thinking that it wasn’t good enough and after the show, there were some young ladies who were promoting assistance for those who write and gave me a business card; so that was confirmation again. The entire night was confirmation; so I’m taking the necessary steps to go forward. But I’m also realizing that “I can’t get to the promise w/o going through the process” and that there will be some rough and difficult times, but God has my back and my front; so I can accomplish it. Thanks DeeDee for such an awesome and God-stirring time of my life–I’ll never forget it. Also, thank you God for Pastor Mike’s love/support to her for ensuring it was a success.
